Founding cohort priority list

Research
Fundamentals

A 12-week live cohort for improving how you critically read, interpret, apply, and communicate exercise and nutrition research.

For coaches, trainers, students, researchers, and evidence-minded individuals who want a clearer process for determining what research actually shows.

Founding cohort   ·   Maximum 20 participants   ·   Planned for September 2026

Receive the full curriculum, confirmed schedule, and priority access before public enrollment opens. Registering does not commit you to purchasing.

The problem

Why interpreting research remains difficult.

Research is easier to access than ever, but interpreting it properly remains difficult. Abstracts leave out important details, statistical significance is frequently misunderstood, individual studies are treated as definitive, and social-media summaries often communicate more certainty than the evidence supports.

01

Unsure which parts of a paper matter most

03

Depend on other people’s interpretations

02

Struggle with methods or statistical results

04

Find it difficult to translate evidence into practice

The outcome

What participants should be better able to do.

By the end of the cohort, participants should be better able to:

  • Critically examine study methods and measurements
  • Interpret common statistical findings and uncertainty
  • Distinguish results from authors’ conclusions
  • Judge how an individual study fits within the wider evidence
  • Recognise overstatement, weak reasoning, and pseudoscientific claims
  • Apply and communicate evidence more responsibly

A brief overview

What the 12 weeks will cover.

The emphasis is on interpreting research—not performing statistical calculations or learning statistical software.

PHASE 1

Scientific thinking, research questions, evidence, and study designs

PHASE 2

Critically reading the different sections of a paper

PHASE 3

Understanding statistics, results, and uncertainty

PHASE 4

Evaluating the wider evidence and applying it in practice
